What We Do Not Collect

No account is required to use this tool, so we hold no names, email addresses, passwords or payment details — there is no mechanism to give us any.

We do not keep a history of the links you paste, we do not build a profile of you, and we do not sell or share data with advertisers or data brokers.

How Downloads Are Handled

When you paste a VK link, our server asks VK for that video's public metadata and returns the available qualities to your browser. When you choose one, the file is streamed through our server to your device.

The video is never written to disk. It passes through memory in transit and is discarded as it goes. No copy is retained after your download finishes, and we cannot recover a file you downloaded earlier.

Technical Data and Logs

Like any web server, ours processes the IP address making a request — this is unavoidable, because it is how a response reaches you. IP addresses are used only to apply rate limits that keep the service available, and are not linked to the videos requested.

A short-lived cache holds resolved video metadata for a few minutes so that resolving and downloading the same video does not require two separate requests to VK. It expires automatically and contains no information about who requested it.

Cookies and Analytics

The downloader itself sets no advertising cookies and runs no advertising trackers. Your language preference is carried in the page URL rather than stored on your device.

We do use Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used. Clarity records anonymised session activity — pages viewed, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement — and builds aggregate heatmaps from it. This helps us see where the tool confuses people. Clarity sets its own cookies and the data it collects is processed by Microsoft under their privacy terms, not ours.

Clarity does not receive the VK links you paste or the files you download; those are handled server-side and never passed to it. If you would rather not be included, browser Do Not Track settings, tracker-blocking extensions and private browsing all prevent it from loading.

Third Parties

To fetch a video, our server necessarily contacts VK's own servers. Your browser does not contact VK directly during a download, so VK receives our server's request rather than your IP address. VK's handling of that request is governed by VK's own policies, which we do not control.

Video thumbnails shown in the results are loaded by your browser directly from VK's image servers so that pages stay fast. If you would rather not contact VK's image hosts at all, do not paste a link.

Your Rights and Contact

Because we do not hold personal accounts or profiles, there is generally no personal data to export or erase. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, write to us and we will act on it.
